JAM Card Recognised in An Post Post Offices Nationwide

JAM Card™ is proud to partner with An Post, with JAM Card recognised in Post Offices across Ireland. An Post recently created a video to highlight the JAM Card and what it means in everyday life, and we wanted to share it with our community too.

The video follows a young woman navigating a busy post office while wearing noise-cancelling headphones, a small accommodation that helps her manage a hidden disability. As she steps up to the counter, she quietly presents her JAM Card. No explanation needed, no awkward conversation, just a moment of understanding.

In a world where challenges aren't the same for everyone, Better matters. When your disability is invisible, 'Better' is not having to explain it and that's exactly what JAM Card makes possible.

What is the JAM Card?

JAM stands for "Just A Minute." It's a simple, discreet card (also available as a free app) that people with a learning difficulty, autism, mental health difficulty, acquired brain injury, or any other condition affecting communication can show to staff. It signals one simple message: I may need a little more time or patience.

JAM Card recognition in Post Offices nationwide

Through this partnership, An Post staff in Post Offices nationwide have been trained to recognise JAM Card, meaning that for thousands of people across Ireland, a routine visit to the post office is a little less stressful and a lot more understanding.
