JAM Card™ is proud to continue its partnership with the National Transport Authority (NTA) as the 2026 JAM Campaign launches across the Transport for Ireland (TFI) network, marking seven years of working together to make public transport more accessible and inclusive.

The campaign continues to raise awareness of JAM Card and the difference that a little extra time, patience and understanding can make for people with hidden disabilities and communication barriers when travelling.

Seven years of JAM Card across the TFI network

JAM Card, which stands for “Just A Minute”, provides a discreet way for people with learning difficulties, autism or other communication barriers to let others know that they may need a little extra time, patience or understanding.

JAM Card is accepted across services nationwide, with passengers able to use either a physical JAM Card or the free JAM Card App.

Introducing the new ‘Ramp Please’ card

As part of this year's campaign, a new “Ramp Please” card has also been introduced.

The new card gives passengers with disabilities a discreet, non-verbal way to request a boarding ramp when travelling on TFI bus services. It was developed following feedback and requests from NTA Disability User Groups, reflecting the importance of listening to the experiences and needs of passengers when improving accessibility

Supporting more confident and independent travel

Speaking at the campaign launch, Anne Shaw, Chief Executive Officer of the NTA, highlighted the role JAM Card continues to play in making public transport more inclusive:

“The JAM Card empowers people to travel with greater confidence and independence, while fostering understanding and kindness across the network. Alongside the introduction of the new ‘Ramp Please’ card, it reflects our ongoing commitment to listening to passengers, removing barriers, and creating a transport system where everyone feels welcome and supported.”

Maeve Monaghan, CEO of NOW Group, welcomed the continuation of the partnership:

“We are thrilled that the NTA are continuing to support the JAM Card initiative across the transport network in Ireland. Making it easier for JAM Card users to travel on public transport makes a big impact to the lives of those with hidden disabilities. We are incredibly thankful for the NTA recognising the importance of one of the leading accessibility and inclusion tools for its service users.”
